Cannabis Cheri: Draining and Straining Hacks; MJ Tea and Scones

Hi Everyone!

Feedback continues to roll in for my new Easy DIY Marijuana Topicals and Skincare online course.  I am just THRILLED that so many people are now finding relief from making their own topicals instead of spending $50 to $100 a jar or more on commercial brands.

A couple of people have written in thanking me for the dosing section of the course. specifically.  One man, in particular, was just AMAZED because he made a homemade salve that worked just as well as the commercial pain relief salve he had been buying.  But that’s not the amazing part.  He found his pain responded just as well to half the dose of the commercial salve!

I always advise people to play around and test their dosing needs.  After all, why pay for more cannabis if you respond just as well to less?  And many people, not everyone but many, actually DO respond well to less.

If you are enrolled in the topicals course, check out the lessons in the dosing section and see if you too might save additional money by lowering your topicals dose.

If you are NOT enrolled in the course, check out the curriculum and other details here.

Marijuana Infusion Draining and Straining Hacks

Photos showing easy ways to drain and strain marijuana infusions.

Dear Cheri,

I love cooking with cannabis but I hate draining and straining infusions, it’s a pain in the butt and always makes a big mess. Are there easier ways than the usual cheesecloth-lined colander?

Yes, there are!  I agree draining and straining can be messy. But it does not have to be.  Here are three easy hacks to use whenever you are making batches of marijuana butter, cannabis oil, or other infused liquids.

CBD Tea and THC Scones!

Cannabis Recipes - CBD Ginger Honey Tea

The first time I ever had a proper British High Tea was in London about 30 plus years ago.  It was about this time of year, the weather had turned chilly, and it was a delightful late afternoon pick-me-up that also helped warm my chilled body.

Except, as delightful as it was, it was not actually a “High” Tea.  There was no marijuana in it!

I have since remedied that by serving my guests an American take on High Tea.   As CBD can kind of cancel out the THC high, depending on your dosages of each in the tea and the scones, this should cause little to no impairment, so you can get back to your day without interruption.  If you don’t have to get back to work, skip the CBD!
