Wow this month has flown by. It was so busy that I actually wrote this newsletter at the end of last week, as I will have spent this week in Las Vegas at the Nightclub and Bar Show, talking to nightclub owners, caterers, chefs, and bartenders interested in getting into the cannabis event industry.
Many trained chefs have come to me over years to learn how to cook with cannabis and I’ll be working side by side with one of them, Chef Matt of Ganja Eats, in Las Vegas. It’s always thrilling to see my students soaring in the brave new world of cannabis, whether it is in a cannabis business like Chef Matt, or in their own home kitchens preparing edibles for themselves and loved ones, like I know many of you do.
I have no idea what to expect from this time in Las Vegas as this is NOT a cannabis trade show, but rather a mainstream trade show for those in the nightclub and event industry. There will be attendees from all over the country. It should be interesting. I’ll report more next week!
The favorite straw men and women of the opponents of medicinal marijuana are patients in their 20s and 30s. These reefer madness drug warriors beat their breasts exclaiming the horrors of marijuana use by young healthy adults. These ill-informed drug warriors say this young adult marijuana use clearly demonstrates that the voters were duped by their compassion when they voted to legalize medical marijuana.
Just because a person is under 30 does not mean they would not benefit from the use of cannabis any more than a person under 30 would not benefit from the use of prescription painkillers, anti-anxiety medication or antibiotics.
The idea that cannabis use is only for folks with one foot in the grave is rubbish as can be easily seen if one takes a moment to read and learn about the substantial health and medical benefits from the use of cannabis for people of all ages.

These marijuana cupcakes feature swirls of Nutella (or any other brand of Chocolate-Hazelnut spread) mingling with orange cupcake batter instead of frosting. They pack well for an edible on the go. You can also wrap individually and freeze. When ready to eat, pull out just the amount you need, bring to room temperature and enjoy.

I use marijuana butter to medicate this recipe. Check out my Making Marijuana Butter tutorial for directions on how to make it.
