How many edibles can you make from an ounce of weed? I am trying to average out costs to see if it is worth it.
OK, I have to start by saying this is not the right question to ask, and if you think about it, you will feel the same way. Why?
- What kind of edibles? You could probably make 1000s of small gummies from an ounce of weed, or many dozen cookies or brownies.
- What strength are those edibles? A 5 mg edible will use less than a 25 mg edible?
- What kind of weed? It matters. You will need half as much 20% THC cannabis as you would 10% THC cannabis to achieve the same dose.
Cheri's Dosage Calculators
Perfect dosing every time, even when not cooking with lab tested weed. Easy to use!
I understand the need to estimate yields and costs but there simply is no one answer to the question: “How many edibles can I make from an ounce of weed?”
You MUST take the 3 factors into consideration.
When it comes to dosing, everyone’s needs are vastly different. Two and a half mgs. of THC is going to be plenty for some folks while mgs. is not going to be enough for others.
I have a free cannabis edibles dosing class that can help you figure it out, using an ordinary calculator.
Even better, my $5.00 edibles dosage calculators do all the math for you and quickly calculate a per serving dose for any edibles recipe. The class that comes with the calculators shows you how to play around with the cannabis amount in your recipe to achieve the exact dose you need. Then it’s easy to cook to those specifications.
Once you know this important information, you can then make an accurate estimate of “How many edibles can I make from an ounce of weed?”
But again, that number will also change depending on the kind of edibles you plan to make.
