We’re getting ready to celebrate 420 around here, and I thought, what better way to help you celebrate than to show you how to quickly and easily – almost instantly – medicate all your favorite snack foods with cannabis.
I’m not sure if these medicated snack foods will cure the munchies or create them, but in either case, they make a fun way to eat your medibles.
So how can I almost instantly medicate snack foods? By using one of my favorite gadgets, the Misto Oil Sprayer.
I’ve been using this little gadget for years, even long before I started cooking with cannabis. Why? Because it can replace cooking spray. It uses all natural cooking oil with no chemicals and no propellants. But for cannabis cooks it’s even handier, as it can spray marijuana infused oil!
That’s right, spray a thin coat of medicated oil on to most any food!
The Misto works on pressure. See the video above for a demonstration, but all you do is pour the oil in, give it a few pumps, and spray!
So to medicate the snack foods on the baking sheet: corn chips, cheddar crackers, potato crisps, cheese puffs, pretzels, and chicharrones, all I had to do was spray them with oil and pop the baking sheet into a 300 degree F oven for about 10 minutes. Quick and easy medicated snack foods!
If you want a stronger dose, turn the snacks over and coat the other side. For an even stronger dose, let the first coat soak in, then spray again.
Believe it or not, in the early days of the cannabis industry, a lot of edibles companies did nothing more than this, then packaged up the snacks and sold them as medibles. Thankfully the industry has evolved and you rarely see this anymore, but this is a still a great quick and easy technique for home cooks to use to medicate their munchies.
I am sure you will come up with more uses for the Misto than just these snacks. It also works for nuts or popcorn, or use with olive oil when making garlic bread, and more. And as I said, even without cannabis in the mix, this is one of my favorite kitchen gadgets, as it totally replaces cooking spray.
