Marijuana Snickerdoodles are quick and easy cannabis cookies to make.

It's true.  The small Pennsylvania Dutch cookies with the funny name are deceptively simple. It’s only cinnamon and sugar that gives them their terrific flavor.

Because of this simplicity, I prefer to make Marijuana Snickerdoodles with kief. I find the finished cookie tastes better, as the somewhat nutty flavor of the kief blends better than the more common herbal undertones of cannabis-infused butter.

Be sure to decarboxylate your kief first.  Learn how, along with more tips for cooking with kief and hash at this link.

Making kief with dry ice is super quick and easy.  This page has a 2-minute video that shows you how.

Freezer Friendly Marijuana Snickerdoodles

For hot medicated marijuana snickerdoodles anytime, freeze individual unbaked cookies on a waxed paper lined baking sheet.  Once frozen, transfer to a plastic freezer container or bag.  Whenever you want a medicated treat, remove however many cookies you want and bake according to recipe instructions, adding a minute or two to the baking time.

A note about the Dosing on this recipe!

This recipe will have about 35 mg THC per cookie IF you used decarboxylated average kief (60% THC).  To adjust the dosage up or down for your personal needs, and to reflect the strength of the kief you are cooking with, be sure to take my FREE 10 minute online Dosing Class that will teach you how to do it.  An even better idea is to use my handy dosage calculator tools that do all the math for you (see below).

  • I wanted to confirm the amount of sugar because when I was trying to cream the butter and sugar, it was extremely dry and powdery. I triple checked my measurements too. Consequently, the cookies turned out as hard as rocks, literally, I assume mostly from having to overwork the dough to get it mixed. The flavor of the cookies is okay, except that they are way too sweet, not just from the coating, but the cookies themselves. To clarify, I put 1 1/2 cups of sugar in the cookies after taking out 1/4 cup for the coating, as per the instructions. Also, I put at least 2 grams of kief in, after decarbing it as suggested, and was very disappointed in the potency of the cookies.

    • THank you for writing and I must apologize. I had a typo in the recipe, the butter should have been 1/2 cup not 1/4 (I have corrected it). I am very very sorry about that. As to the dosage, as with all recipes that is a suggestion. Everybody’s needs to cannabis are different and I mean drastically different. Also the strength of the cannabis you are using may be different from mine. This is why I created my free dosing class, to help you determine and dose according to your needs. Any amount of cannabis in any marijuana recipe must be taken with a grain of salt and adjusted according to your needs. There simply is no one size fits all when it comes to dosing. Unfortunately, as this is the area where people have the most problems. Find the free dosing class at http://www.Cannademy.com . Again my sincere apologies for the typo in the recipe.

      • Dear Cheri,
By the way, that is my sister’s name! Thanks for your suggestions, I will definitely try to watch that video as soon as I get a chance. I wanted to check with you to be sure that you double checked ALL of the recipe for any other typos before I try it again. I had some cookies recently from a delivery service that I’m sure were made with this recipe, and they were amazing! Unfortunately, mine were NOT!!! So, I just want to make certain that I have EVERYTHING right next time. Thank you for your help.

    • Do you mean can you substitute cannabis butter for butter and leave out the kief or hash? Yes. Absolutely. The reason I chose to medicate this recipe with kief was for flavor. Snickerdoodles are a light cookie with not much to hide the green of typical cannabis infused butter. but yes, you certainly could swap out cannabutter for the butter. Dosing would alter, so use the dosing calculator included in my free online dosing class to calculate it. (find it at http://www.Cannademy.com )

  • made snickerdoodles potent and delicious, formed semi flat placed on parchment paper but they ran became large thin flat cookie but still crispy and great tatsing – not complaining but they didnt come out like your photo ….
