Do you love sour gummies?  How about sour fizzy gummies?  Well, here is how you can transform any marijuana gummy (or regular gummy for that matter) into a Sour Gummy or a Fizzy Sour Gummy.  It does not matter if the gummies you start with are homemade or store bought, this simple technique works with it all.  You will soon be munching on cannasours!

The secret to sour cannabis gummies?  Citric acid.

citric acid

Sour Cannabis Gummies Recipe:

  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon citric acid (start low, you can always add more)
  • Homemade or Store Bought Cannabis Gummies

Fizzy Sour Cannabis Gummies Recipe:

  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon citric acid (start low, you can always add more)
  • 1/8 teaspoon baking soda
  • Homemade or Store Bought Cannabis Gummies

The technique is the same, stir the citric acid and sugar together in a small bowl.  Add baking soda if you are making fizzy sour gummies.  Stir until evenly combined.  Roll your gummies in the mixture and voila!  Instant Sour or Fizzy Sour cannabis gummies.

Notes on Citric Acid:

  • A little bit goes a long way with this super sour additive.  Start with 1/4 teaspoon and add more if needed.
  • Do not get any water or liquid in the fizzy gummy mixture especially as this will start it fizzing.  This same action between baking soda and citric acid is what causes bath bombs to fizz. • Cheri, I’ve made gummies with coconut oil and I have to keep them in the fridge, they never get dry enough to roll in sugar and citric acid, they turn into a stick mess, is there a
