Over the course of 2022 I have been sent quite a lot of grinders for review And if you peruses the review section of my website or my YouTube channel you will see I have not reviewed any of them, until now. So when it comes to the best weed grinders of 2022, my choice is the Ludist Grinder. Good news for consumers, it’s also the least expensive of all the grinders I had been sent.
But it was not just cost that kept me from recommending those other grinders this year. It was their lack of functionality.
One was high tech and battery operated, but flimsy and it did a terrible job of grinding the weed. Another was sleek and high tech with a modular design. It claimed to let you choose your grind, however all of them came out far too fine for my taste. Plus the darn pieces were impossible to get together without cross threading.
None of those problems exist with the Ludist Grinder. It’s not fancy, but it is a good high quality basic grinder that gets the job done with a minimum of muss and fuss.
I love the sleek matte colored lightweight aluminum. The four sided diamond shaped grinding teeth make quick and easy work of grinding herb.
I was staying with friends in Humboldt County during harvest season when my grinders arrived. We put them through the test. Even though we were grinding a whole lot of sticky weed in them, after 2 weeks of grinding several times a day, they had not even started to get gummy and sticky.
The grind produces a nice fluffy pile of herb ready for rolling or packing into pipe or bong bowls.
Other features of this highly functional grinder include:
- 2.5" diameter size with extra drop holes for seamless grinding
- 4-piece design to store, grind and stash
- Stainless steel kief screen
- Magnetic airtight seal that will keep your stash fresh
- Metal toothpick, brush and scraper for easy cleaning
The tools are a nice bonus, but I know I will quickly lose them. You probably will too.
If you are looking for a quality functional grinder at a reasonable price, it’s hard to beat Ludist.
