Cannabis Flower Vapes: Davinci IQ Review and Miqro Too!

I frequently get asked for my recommendation for a good vaporizer.  And I have been looking for a good portable vaporizer that vapes flowers, as opposed to oil and cartridges, for some time myself.  I think I found it as you'll see in the DaVinci IQ review, as well as it's little brother the Davinci Miqro.

I don't like to regularly vape cartridges as we often don't know what is in those oils and cartridges and we just don't have any studies on the long term effects of vaping oil.  We also don't know much about commonly used vape oil additives like propylene glycol.  So the concept of a portable vape that vapes flowers is appealing.

However, in the past I have always been disappointed at the quality and functionality I found in portable flower vapes.  These new Da Vinci models, the IQ and the Miqro, change all that.

The two vape models are sleek, stylish and discreet and function pretty much the same way, but there are a few differences.

The DaVinci IQ was built to be the connoisseur’s vape of choice. It has a 2-hour battery life, 1500ml chamber, comes with the DaVinci app capability to extend function, and a 10-year warranty. This is the perfect vape for long-term heavy use, or if you regularly vape in a group. Figure on getting about 12 to 15 hits from the IQ before having to reload.

The DaVinci Miqro is a smaller version with a 750 ml canister, a 30-minute battery charge, and a 5-year warranty (no app). This is a perfect choice for a single user.  We got 5 or 6 hits from the Miqro before having to reload.

There’s a lot to like about the DaVinci vapes. To begin with, they are quick and easy to learn to use, even for someone like me who hates electronics and tech stuff. Just take it out of the box, load in some ground cannabis, hit the button 5 times to turn on and start vaping.

OK that was easy! But that’s just the beginning.

You can then adjust these vapes to your precise vaping preferences. They come set with 4 levels of “smart heating paths” that will work for most folks. But for the connoisseurs, know that you can precisely adjust the temperature to whatever you choose.

Those who are into the tech side of things can opt to download the DaVinci app (available with the IQ only) that extends the capabilities of the device, allowing full control over your vaping sessions, including temperature control, length of each sesh, and the ability to track usage.

Once I got used to it, I loved the flat mouthpiece, but those who prefer something more traditional can pop in the optional extended mouthpiece (included with the vapes and pictured in the Miqro accessory photo below). This is also a better option when sharing the vape in a group.

Other great IQ and Miqro DaVinci Vaporizer features include:

  • The ability to charge the battery while in use
  • A second battery stored in the device and at the ready should the first one run out
  • All removable parts that make these vapes easy to clean
  • Boost and standby modes to help extend battery life
  • Stealth mode that dims the LED readout lights• Small carry can to store ground cannabis or leftover duff included
  • Optional stem mouthpiece (included with vape) preferable when sharing
  • Lots of nifty accessories (some may be included depending on which model you buy), like carrying cases, protective sleeves, car chargers, replacement parts, and more.

The only downside is they do tend to get VERY warm if left on, so I power down or use standby mode often. And like ALL vape companies, the instruction manual could use a little work and more details (although it’s better than most).

That aside, I’ve yet to find a portable flower vape that work as well as these.  While I know I should vape more instead of smoke, I had previously not been a fan.  Da Vinci changed that and I now rarely go anywhere without my DaVinci vape.
